Each month, Fat Mum Slim posts a photo challenge, and each month, I fail to start - and therefore fail to finish. It's not that I don't want to, but I've always had a hard time with authority, so as drawn to it as I was, I thought being instructed to take a specific sort of photo every day would take the wind out of my sails. I also have problems with consistency (see: everything I've ever started).
Story of my life, until last month, when I not only started, but also finished, her July photo challenge - which leads me to this: how is July over, wasn't it just January? Anyway, in the end, it was a fun way to get me shooting every day with my iPhone and DSLR (about an 80/20 split). Of course, being an Instagram addict made it all the easier.
Here's what my month looked like (need a key? check the list here). Click to embiggen, as always:
I'm carrying on with the August challenge, but I'm switching it up a little bit to keep myself entertained. Instead of just snapping the assigned photo, all of mine will be of my dog Foxy, within the day's theme. I'm expecting to fail spectacularly, but I bet it will yield hilarious results for as long as it lasts. Expect costumes. You should join in!
